Jeff Turpin
Jeff Turpin is a performer, musician and a musical director
for live performance.
His musical skills include woodwind, accordion and guitar, and circus skills
include juggling, object manipulation, slackrope and tightrope.
He was musical director for Childrens'Activity Groups from 1990 to 1996.
He was musical director, performer and musician in 'scam', 'Raradada' in
2001 & 03 in the Ten days on the Island Festival and Slipstream Circus '04. Jeff
toured western Canada in 2004 with Barb Dwyer.
Jeff's self devised solo circus works are: 'Sid the Salesman', international
tour in 1996 and in 2002, and 'Turpintime' for the Tiny Top, an intimate festival
tent theatre, which toured around Australia.
As a clown he has performed in Taiwan with 'Los Lunch Dates', and U.K., Brazil,
and throughout Australia with Broadway & Co. in 'Eccentric Acts'.
With Broadway and Co, he also taught Actlab, co-devised the performance for the
opening of the Australian Museum in 2001, and performed in Circus Monoxide in
the Sydney Maritime Museum.
Jeff has trained with Philippe Gaulier, Rock'n'Roll
Circus's 1997 Professional Development Training Program
and The Creative Gym.
